A dependable systemic seed treatment providing robust defense against soil-borne pests and early-stage insect threats.
Description
Reliable crop start with DIYA-Thiamethoxam
When you are preparing for the sowing season, there is no room for error. The seed dresser from ProPole is a staple in our protection strategy against soil pests and those that attack seedlings in the critical first few weeks. Because it is a systemic product, the thiamethoxam works from within, protecting the plant as it develops, which is far more efficient than relying solely on contact-acting agents.
Application rates and field performance
From an operator's perspective, the emulsion formulation is excellent—it does not clog the nozzles of the seed treatment equipment, which keeps downtime to a minimum. We adjust the dosage based on the crop and the specific pest pressure:
- Winter rapeseed and sunflower: 0.5–1.0 L/t is usually sufficient to handle flea beetles and weevils.
- Winter wheat: We use 2.0–3.0 L/t to ensure protection against cereal flies and ground beetles.
- Corn: In fields with high wireworm pressure, we increase the dosage up to 4.0 L/t.
The systemic nature of the product means it isn't washed away by the first rain, providing long-term protection for the emerging crop. Whether it is aphids, leafhoppers, or cruciferous beetles, the product provides a solid defense line that allows the crop to establish itself firmly.
Operational tips
The product falls under Hazard Class 3, so standard protective measures are mandatory. Since this is an emulsion, it is important to keep the tank mixture well-agitated to ensure uniform coating on every seed. When handled correctly, the DIYA-Thiamethoxam treatment results in uniform emergence and healthier initial plant growth, even in challenging environmental conditions. It’s a straightforward, dependable solution that doesn't require constant maintenance of the machinery, allowing us to focus on the actual sowing process.
