Combined seed treatment for controlling soil pests and a spectrum of seed-borne diseases in winter and spring cereals.
Description
Synergy of Components: How Nuprid Max Works
The success of cereal crop protection at the start of vegetation depends on the seed treatment's ability to control both phytopathogens and soil-dwelling pests. Nuprid Max features a classic yet highly efficient combination: imidacloprid and tebuconazole. This mix turns the seed into a stronghold, protected against biological threats during the critical stages of germination.
Protection Pharmacology
- Imidacloprid (neonicotinoid): Acts on the central nervous system of insects, causing irreversible paralysis. Its advantage lies in its systemic action — it is absorbed by the roots and distributed throughout the young sprouts, providing a prolonged effect against wireworms, cereal flies, flea beetles, and aphids.
- Tebuconazole (triazole): A fungicidal component that blocks ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cells. This is a key defense mechanism against root rots, smuts, and seed mold.
Technically, the product is a flowable suspension concentrate. This formulation ensures uniform coverage of the seed grain without active ingredient shedding once dried. With an application rate of 0.5–0.7 L/t, an optimal concentration of both substances on the seed surface is achieved.
Practical Application Aspects
The systemic-contact mode of action allows Nuprid Max to not only block infection externally but also prevent fungal colonies from penetrating the embryo. For wheat and barley, this is critical, as crop stand density is established during the «sowing to emergence» stage. Since the product is limited to one application, strict adherence to the seed bed preparation protocol is essential to ensure an even film coverage.
The production partnership between Nufarm GmbH & Co. (Austria) and Jiangsu Good-Harvest Weien Agrochemical Co., Ltd. (China) guarantees formulation standards, ensuring suspension stability during storage and mixing with water in tank mixes.
