Tomcat 1

Tomcat is a variety of tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) primarily intended for sports turf mixes and forage products. The variety is characterized by high wear resistance, dense turf cover, and attractive leaf color ranging from medium-green to dark-green. It tolerates winter frosts well and possesses disease resistance and salt tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The crop features dense tillers, rich micronutrient content, and high vitamin levels. Thanks to a well-developed root system that can exceed 2 meters in depth, the plant demonstrates excellent drought tolerance. With proper care (avoiding flowering to maintain hay quality), Tomcat can yield up to two full cuts and a harvest of up to 100 c/ha of hay. On pasture, it withstands five full grazing cycles.

For sowing density, 180–200 g per 100 m² is recommended, which ensures optimal growth and development of the crop. Tomcat combines high productivity, resilience to unfavorable conditions, and nutritional value, making it in demand for both sports fields and the forage industry.
