Sevtopolis is a lavender variety registered in the state register for crop cultivation. The plant has a spherical shape and reaches an average height of about 57 cm. When in full bloom, the outer flower stalks are in a semi-upright position, and the leaf edges do not have incisions. The flower stalks are dark green, the inflorescences are of medium size with a truncated-conical shape and medium width.
Key variety characteristics include high yield – 6.2 tons/hectare of inflorescences, as well as essential oil content in dry matter within 3.4%. The gross harvest is about 196 kg/hectare. The main component of the essential oil – linalyl acetate – is present at a concentration of 44.5%, which exceeds standard indicators.
Sevtopolis is characterized by resistance to lodging, drought resistance, and winter hardiness, as well as low susceptibility to diseases and pests. Thanks to these properties, the variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting and is widely used as raw material for the production of essential oils.
