Barhan

Barhan is a highly productive and resilient flax variety created through multiple individual selection methods. It is distinguished by its high drought resistance, synchronized flowering and maturation, as well as resistance to lodging and seed shattering. The plants reach a height of up to 60 cm, which facilitates harvest collection and reduces losses. The oil content in the seeds exceeds 48%, which is higher compared to standard varieties, making Barhan attractive for producing both oil and fiber.

Barhan is versatile in application and suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Central, Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, Western Siberia, and Eastern Siberia regions. Thanks to its high yield, which can reach 26 centners per hectare, it is widely used in the agricultural sector for producing oilseed raw material and fiber.
