The oilseed flax variety "Kamenyar" is a result of selective breeding by the Institute of Agriculture of NAAS of Ukraine. The primary focus of this variety is the stability of the vegetation period and phytosanitary resilience, which are critical factors in current climate conditions.

Key Performance Indicators

• Vegetation Cycle: 75–90 days. This range allows Kamenyar to effectively avoid extreme heat during the seed-filling phase, ensuring predictable harvest timelines.
• Biological Protection: Breeding efforts were concentrated on high resistance to fusarium wilt. In the field, this minimizes the risk of crop lodging and quality loss, which remains a bottleneck for many foreign hybrids.
• Morphological Traits: The plant develops classic blue flowers. The brown seed color indicates a balanced composition of linolenic and linoleic acids, characteristic of high-quality Ukrainian oilseed flax.

This variety is designed for agricultural enterprises prioritizing a balance between high yield potential and reduced fungicide reliance. The technical adaptability of the variety allows for successful integration into crop rotations across various climatic zones in Ukraine.
