Flax-fibre NOVOTORZHSKY® is a specialized flax variety developed for use in agrotechnology and agriculture. This fibre variety is characterized by a medium maturity period and is intended for the production of seeds and other agronomic purposes. Thanks to its qualities, it is widely used in various regions, including the Kaliningrad, Kostroma, Leningrad, Novgorod, Pskov, Tver, and Yaroslavl regions.
The plant is valued for its high fiber content in the green mass - up to 30%, making it a sought-after raw material for the textile industry, where threads are made from the fibers. In addition, flax seeds contain about 39% fat, allowing for the production of flax oil used in the food and chemical industries. In addition, medicinal preparations, nutrient substrates, and components of technical mixtures are produced from flax raw materials.
After the processing of flax raw materials, meal and cake remain, which are used as animal feed, which increases the economic efficiency of growing this variety. Flax also finds application in landscape design, where decorative varieties decorate alpine rockeries and lawns, but the NOVOTORZHSKY® variety is primarily oriented towards agrarian use and seed production.
