RATIO — a variety of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum L. var. intermedia Vav et Ell.), characterized by medium ripening and included in the State Register for several regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatsky, Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Western Siberia, and North Caucasus. The vegetation period is approximately 94-95 days. The plant has a stem of medium length, and the petal color varies from blue-violet to blue at full development. The stigma at the base may be blue or white, depending on the growing region. The capsule of the variety is small or medium-sized with fringed false septum, and the stipeness of the calyx is absent or expressed very weakly. Seeds of the RATIO variety differ in color diversity — from yellow to dark brown, with the mass of 1000 seeds varying from 5.8 to 6.3 grams. The oil content in seeds ranges from 38.8% to 44.2%, with high levels of linoleic acid (about 38.1%) and linolenic acid (about 35.2%) in the oil. These indicators make the variety attractive for oilseed production. Seed yield depends on the region and ranges from 9.8 to 16.1 centners per hectare, with the maximum registered yield reaching 16.1 centners/hectare in the Central Black Earth region and 13.6 centners/hectare in Novosibirsk Oblast. The RATIO variety is distinguished by good resistance to seed shedding, rated at 3.5–4.8 points, which contributes to crop preservation during harvest. During field trials in various regions over the years, no disease damage was recorded, indicating the high resistance of the variety. It is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Novosibirsk Oblast, confirming its adaptability and stability in production.
