Versailles is distinguished by its rapid maturation period — 87–89 days — allowing effective use in various climatic conditions, especially in steppe zones.
Versailles flax seeds contain a significant amount of oil (47.4–48.3%), protein, and vitamins, particularly vitamin A, as well as numerous biologically active components. The average thousand-seed weight is 6.5–7.2 grams, germination reaches 94%, and seed purity is 99.2%. Stem height varies from 55 to 58 cm, and the fruit is spherical in shape and contains 7 to 10 seeds. The variety is characterized by high yield — 18 to 25 centners per hectare — as well as resistance to lodging, which facilitates harvesting.
Versailles is widely used in various industries due to its unique properties. It is used in medicine, cosmetics, leather footwear production, oil, perfumery, as well as in rubber and paper industries. Its high quality and versatility make it in-demand and economically advantageous for cultivation and industrial use.
