Description
Minusinsk Yubileynaya – is a medium-sized blueberry bush (Lonicera caerulea) with a height of about 1.6 m and a width of up to 1.2 m, featuring a rounded, wide shape. The bush is characterized by dense, straight branches, reddish-brown bark without pubescence, and leaves that are dark green, slightly elongated, matte, and dense. The appearance of small pale-yellow flowers begins in May, while full fruit ripening occurs by the end of June; bushes start bearing fruit as early as the third year after planting.
The berries of this variety are oval, slightly elongated, with an average weight ranging from 1.5 g to 1.8 g. The taste is sour-sweet, almost without bitterness, making them popular for fresh consumption, drying, freezing, canning, jam, preserves, and homemade wine. Thanks to their tough skin, the berries are easily transported over medium distances and remain fresh in cold conditions for up to a week.
The yield is high – from 3 kg to 4 kg of berries per bush, making this variety one of the most productive among blueberry bushes. The bush grows well in both temperate and southern, arid regions, and possesses high frost resistance. For pollination, it is recommended to use varieties such as Silygin, Bakhcharsky Giant, and Vostorg, as the bush requires cross-pollination.
