GIBRALTAR is a synthetic variety of blue lucerne (Medicago sativa L. subsp. sativa), created based on 16 parent lines selected for high disease resistance and exceptional cold hardiness. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and has wide adaptability, allowing it to be grown in various climatic conditions. The plants have a semi-erect bush type and medium green leaf coloration, which promotes good development and productivity.

The GIBRALTAR variety is characterized by high yield and nutritive value. Average yield in the Central region is about 77.2 c/ha, which exceeds the standard by 3.3 c/ha. Additionally, the variety is distinguished by high protein content - about 15.45%, and an optimal level of fiber - 26.49%, which ensures excellent digestibility and high feed value for animals.

Special attention during breeding was paid to resistance to root rots, bacterial wilt, root phytophthora, and verticillium wilt, which significantly increases the reliability and stability of the yield.
