KUIBYSHOVSKAYA

The variable alfalfa variety Kuibyshovskaya is a leguminous grass developed by the FSBSI "Samara Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Breeding" and approved for use since 1949. This variety is characterized by high ecological plasticity and is adapted to various climatic conditions, making it in demand in agriculture for sowing on pastures and as a fodder crop. The variety's originator is the Samara Federal Research Center of the RAS.

Kuibyshovskaya alfalfa has high resistance to diseases, which ensures stable yield and reduces costs for plant protection. It is characterized by winter hardiness and drought resistance, allowing for successful cultivation in regions with variable weather conditions. Green mass yield ranges from 75 to 150 centners per hectare without irrigation and can reach 500-1200 centners with the use of irrigation.

Moreover, Kuibyshovskaya alfalfa is widely used for establishing meadows, pastures, and erosion-prone slopes, which contributes to soil improvement and increased productivity of agricultural lands. The variety is also used in breeding programs as a component for crossing with other alfalfa species, allowing for the creation of new hybrids with improved characteristics.
