Engine Performance and Design

The core of the MTZ 50 «Belarus» is the D-50 four-stroke diesel engine, specifically designed for high-torque performance at low RPMs. With a 4.75-liter displacement, the engine delivers consistent pulling power required for heavy-duty field tasks like plowing and harrowing. The direct fuel injection system is engineered to handle long, continuous workloads while maintaining thermal stability, reducing the risk of overheating under extreme stress.

Transmission and Drivetrain

The tractor features a 9-speed mechanical transmission paired with a range gearbox, providing a total of 9 forward and 2 reverse gears. A critical technical feature is the lockable rear differential. By preventing independent wheel spin, this mechanism ensures maximum traction on soft, muddy, or uneven ground. The semi-frame chassis design effectively redistributes the engine's weight to the front axle, maintaining balance and steering precision during heavy implement operations.

Hydraulic Efficiency

The split-aggregate hydraulic system utilizes an NSH-32 gear pump, providing sufficient flow for operating a diverse range of implements. The Power Take-Off (PTO) unit offers two modes—independent and synchronized—allowing for seamless integration with active implements like rotary mowers or fertilizer spreaders. From a maintenance perspective, the MTZ 50 is built for accessibility; major transmission and engine components are easily reached, allowing for field-side repairs and reducing operational downtime during peak farming seasons.
