Description
EGORYCH is a spring oat (Avena sativa L.) variety characterized by a medium-height plant type and lodging resistance at the level of standard varieties. This variety is distinguished by a medium-early maturity period and belongs to the mutica-aristata variety. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 31 to 46 grams depending on the growing region, indicating good grain size. The grain density is 440-530 g/l, indicating high raw material quality.
The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the East Siberian, West Siberian, Volga-Vyatsk, Central-Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Lower Volga regions. It is well adapted to the climatic conditions of such regions as Irkutsk, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov, as well as the Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Crimea. Thanks to its drought resistance and tolerance to root rots, the variety demonstrates stable yield and resistance to unfavorable conditions.
EGORYCH has moderate susceptibility to hard head smut and susceptibility to powdery head smut, but differs in high resistance to crown rust and powdery mildew. Protein content in the grain varies from 8.5 to 14.1%, which makes this variety attractive for use in feed and food purposes. The average yield of the variety in growing regions reaches 27.7 centners per hectare, which confirms its economic efficiency and prospects for agricultural production.
