The ADS 85 winter pea variety represents a fodder type of Pisum sativum L., intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, including Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea, and is also suitable for the central belt. This variety is characterized by early maturity with a vegetative period ranging from 200 to 280 days, depending on growing conditions. Plants reach a height of 109 to 160 cm, have strong foliage, and feature red-purple flowers. Pods are yellow, slightly curved or medium-curvature with blunt tips, while seeds are purple with spotting or oval in shape with green cotyledons and a light hilum. ADS 85 is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought, making it a reliable choice for crop rotation. The variety exhibits good disease resistance, particularly showing weak susceptibility to ascochitis under field conditions.
