Field Experience with Achat Peas

When working with Achat from Moravoseed, you immediately notice how much easier the harvest becomes. This is a leafless, or 'tendril' type of pea. For a farm operator, this means one thing: the crop doesn't lodge, even when weather conditions are less than ideal before ripening. The stems interlock, creating a stable canopy that is essential for direct combining.

Performance and Harvesting

From an operational perspective, Achat is a predictable variety. The plant height ranges from 75 to 85 cm. It’s the perfect balance: tall enough to produce a high yield, but short enough to avoid mass lodging. The Thousand Kernel Weight (TKW) is 240–270 grams. The large, plump seeds ensure smooth flow through the seed drill and high output during threshing.
