The ALYANS pea variety is a mid-season leafless seed pea (Pisum sativum L.) variety bred through hybridization followed by individual selection. The plant is characterized by a green stem 75-95 cm high, lack of hairiness, and presence of a large number of tendrils. The leaf is simple with tendrils, without leaflets, with large heart-shaped stipules. Inflorescences are two-flowered, axillary racemes with large white flowers. Pods are of the shelling type, straight, 3.5-6.5 cm long and 1.0-1.5 cm wide, with a blunt apex. Seeds are round, yellow-pink, smooth and matte; the mass of 1000 seeds is 212-242 g.

The variety is distinguished by high yield, which in the Central-Black Earth region averages 22.1 c/ha, which is 2.6 c/ha higher than the average standard. The maximum yield was recorded at 43.2 c/ha. The vegetative period is 63-80 days, making the variety mid-season. ALYANS possesses high drought resistance exceeding the average level, as well as resistance to shattering and average resistance to lodging. Under field conditions, the variety shows medium resistance to ascochitosis and rust, as well as a standard level of resistance to root rots, powdery mildew, and pests.

Moreover, this pea variety is suitable for quick preparation thanks to the processing technology, which allows obtaining split peas while maintaining an attractive appearance. Cutting peas in half significantly reduces cooking time, which is especially valuable for consumers who value time savings.
