Description
The Audit pea variety is a high-yielding and adaptable variety with high yield potential, recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and forest-steppe regions. It belongs to the medium-late maturing group with a vegetation period of 60 to 80 days, ensuring stable ripening and high grain quality. Plants reach a height of about 102 cm, and the variety is characterized by compactness and complete resistance to lodging, allowing direct combine harvesting without yield loss.
The Audit pea has a high protein content in the grain — from 22.8% to 26.3% — making it an excellent choice for producing high-protein feeds. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 210 to 253 g, and the number of seeds per pod ranges from 7 to 9. Pods have a slightly curved shape with a blunt tip and exhibit high resistance to cracking, minimizing grain loss during harvest. The majority of seeds exceed a diameter of 7 mm, and the cotyledons are yellow.
The Audit variety is resistant to various diseases, including anthracnose, viral infections, and root diseases, and demonstrates moderate drought tolerance. The recommended seeding rate is 0.9 to 1.0 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant density for maximum yield. The variety has been registered in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register since 2013 and has proven itself as a reliable and high-quality choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality pea harvest.
