Description
Gambit pea variety is a bright example of a high-yielding and stress-tolerant plant. This yellow variety is medium-maturing and characterized by plant height of about 103-105 cm. Gambit features an intensive growth type and upright, leafless type, which facilitates direct combine harvesting. Sowing is early, and the vegetation period is approximately 112 days, allowing for a stable yield in various climatic zones.
One of the key features of this variety is its high resistance to diseases and stress factors. Gambit pea demonstrates good protection against root and stem diseases, as well as very high resistance to downy mildew. Additionally, the variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, significantly reducing losses during harvest and improving yield quality. It is adaptable to various preceding crops and suitable for cultivation in different agroclimatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and pole regions.
Gambit variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 55-60 centners per hectare, and large seeds with a 1000-seed weight of about 274 g. Each pod contains 3 to 7 seeds, and the seed protein content is approximately 23.2%, making this pea valuable for both food and feed purposes. The seed sowing rate is 1.2-1.5 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant development and maximum yield.
