Garde

Garde pea is a medium-late vegetable variety with a vegetation period from germination to technical maturity, ranging from 86 to 95 days. Plants reach a height of 72–88 cm, and pods measuring 8–9 cm in length have a wide green color and contain 8–9 large peas, distinguished by excellent taste qualities. This variety is recommended for both fresh consumption and canning, making it versatile in use.

The seeds of the Garde variety have high yield potential, with an average yield in Ukraine reaching 38 c/ha. The variety belongs to the intensive type and is suitable for mechanical harvesting, simplifying the harvesting process. It is resistant to diseases such as ascochitosis, anthracnose, and root rots, ensuring stable and reliable yields even under adverse conditions.

Garde pea grows best on medium-heavy soils with good agrofond and requires adequate moisture during the early vegetative stage for optimal development. Seeds are sown in open ground, which allows obtaining a high-quality and flavorful product. Seed weight is approximately 20 grams, which is convenient for sowing and further cultivation.
