The KRASNOUS pea variety is a mid-season seed pea (Pisum sativum L.) recommended for cultivation in the Urals region, particularly in the Orenburg Oblast. Plants reach a height of 49 to 79 cm, have a leafless structure, and high mottling density. Flowers are white, with two to three flowers forming on each node. Pods are straight or slightly curved with a blunt tip; seeds are oval-shaped with yellow cotyledons and a closed hilum. The vegetative period ranges from 62 to 85 days, classifying it as mid-season. KRASNOUS is distinguished by high yield—average figures reach 17.1 centners per hectare, which is 1.5 centners per hectare higher than standard regional varieties. In Orenburg Oblast, yields can reach 18 centners per hectare, with maximum figures reaching up to 36.8 centners per hectare. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, ensuring yield preservation. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 180 to 249 g, while protein content in the grain reaches 29.2%, indicating high seed quality. Regarding disease resistance, the variety is moderately susceptible to anthracnose but more prone to root rots and rust.
