The 'Rassvet' (Dawn) pea variety is the result of long-term research by the Selection and Genetics Institute (Odesa) in partnership with the North Caucasian Federal Scientific Agrarian Center. This variety has established itself in the early-maturing segment, targeted at farmers who prioritize predictable results in a changing climate. Developed with the participation of breeder Nadezhda Dyachenko, this variety addresses one of the most significant challenges in pulse production: systematic Fusarium wilt.

A biological shield against soil infections

The key feature of 'Rassvet' is its genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt. In intensive farming, where soil exhaustion and pathogen pressure limit yields, this immunity helps maintain crop density and prevents premature plant loss. The variety features an average stem height, making it well-suited for mechanized harvesting with minimal field losses.

• Vegetation period: 70–80 days, allowing the crop to evade peak summer droughts.
• Usage type: Universal, suitable for various soil and climatic zones of Ukraine.

It does not require specialized agronomic practices beyond standard crop rotation and optimal sowing dates. Due to its early maturation, farmers can effectively clear fields for a second crop or prepare the soil for the autumn cycle, ensuring a high-quality commercial yield.
