Description
Pea cultivar Tulunsky 202 is a mid-maturing, leafless, determinate variety adapted to the conditions of sharply continental climates, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in regions with harsh climatic conditions, such as Siberia, the Volga-Vyatsky, and Ural regions. This variety is characterized by resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield preservation and facilitates harvesting.
Plants of the Tulunsky 202 variety have well-developed stipules and low density of spotting. Flowers are white, and pods are straight or with a slight bend and a blunt tip. Seeds are irregularly shaped with yellow cotyledons and a light hilum, closed by a remnant of the funicle. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 174 to 248 grams, indicating good quality of the seed material.
The average yield of the variety reaches about 20 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the level of standard varieties. Protein content in the grain is in the range of 21 to 26.8%, making this pea a valuable source of protein. The variety has above-average resistance to lodging, as well as demonstrates weak damage from root rots and medium resistance to ashchitoz and rust, ensuring stability and reliability in cultivation.
