GOLDEN BARREL

The "Golden Barrel" pumpkin variety is a powerful, long-vining plant of medium maturity. Bright orange fruits ripen 110-115 days after germination. They have an oval shape with a diameter of 30-40 cm and weigh from 7 to 11 kg. The fruits feature a slightly indented base, which adds stability and makes them particularly convenient for carving and making Halloween lanterns.

The fruits have thick, dense, fine-grained flesh that differs in excellent taste. The pumpkin is excellent for canning and roasting, and also shows its best qualities in making pies and manti. Thanks to this, even those who usually do not like the taste of pumpkin will happily use dishes made from this variety.

Growing "Golden Barrel" is possible both via seedlings and direct sowing in open ground. Seeds are sown in holes 2-3 pieces per hole to a depth of 3-5 cm, and after germination, thinning is carried out, leaving 3-4 fruits on the plant. The top is pinched to stimulate fruit growth, and non-fruiting shoots are removed. Plants require timely watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing. Under unfavorable weather conditions, manual pollination of flowers is recommended to improve fruit setting.
