KILIMANJARO

KILIMANJARO is a mid-season variety of large-fruited pumpkin, maturing 100-105 days after full germination. The fruits have an oval shape with cream-orange skin and shallow grooves. The average fruit weight varies from 7 to 13.5 kg, making this variety attractive for growing both in private plots and for commercial purposes. The pumpkin flesh is dense, juicy, yellow-orange, sweet, and very aromatic, ensuring high taste qualities and making it ideal for children's and dietary diets.

KILIMANJARO plants are long-vined, with the main vine reaching up to 3 meters in length. The variety is characterized by high carotene content, good transportability, and resistance to low temperatures and unfavorable conditions. Commercial yield reaches 785 c/ha, and the fruits retain their qualities for 90-100 days after harvest. For successful cultivation, sowing for seedlings in April is recommended, followed by transplanting into open ground in May-June at the 2-3 true leaf stage in an 80x60 cm pattern. When sowing directly into open ground, seeds should be planted 5-10 cm deep, with 2-3 seeds per hole.

Agrotechnology includes infrequent but abundant root watering, regular loosening and weeding until the vines close, and fertilizing with organic fertilizers 3-4 times during the season. To form the plant, it is recommended to leave 4-5 fruits per vine, removing the remaining vines and suckers. This approach ensures optimal fruit development and high-quality harvest.
