Pluto F1 is an early and high-yielding hybrid of pumpkin developed by Sakata. The plant is characterized by a strong vining bush and cylindrical fruits with yellowish-brown skin and a thick end. The average weight of one fruit is between 1 and 1.5 kg, making them convenient for portioned use. The hybrid matures in about 85-100 days, allowing for harvest in a relatively short period.

The flesh of the Pluto pumpkin is characterized by bright orange color, juiciness, and sweet taste, making it ideal for preparing various dishes, as well as for fresh consumption and processing. The fruits have an attractive appearance and pleasant aroma, which increases their market value. The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew and other common diseases, which contributes to stable yield and reduced costs for plant protection.

Pluto F1 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including dry lands without additional irrigation. The recommended planting scheme is 1.6 by 0.6 meters, with a sowing rate of 7,000 to 12,000 plants per hectare. Thanks to its characteristics, this hybrid is excellent for long-term storage and sale both in fresh and processed forms.
