The “Galitsky” (Galitskiy) variety is a cornerstone of Ukrainian rapeseed breeding, developed by the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Agricultural Production of the NAAS. Agronomic Profile and Performance

Plants reach a height of 170–180 cm with a robust branching pattern, which is critical for maximizing yield per hectare. The variety demonstrates an impressive yield potential of 60–70 dt/ha. Quality-wise, the oil content consistently tests between 45% and 50%, meeting the demands of both crushers and exporters.

Pathogen Resistance and Field Health

A major advantage of Galitsky is its genetic resilience to a wide spectrum of rapeseed diseases. This allows farmers to reduce the number of fungicide applications, significantly lowering input costs. The variety shows strong resistance to:

• Fungal diseases: Alternaria, Sclerotinia, Phoma, and Blackleg.
• Root rot complexes.
• Peronosporosis and Bacteriosis.
