MAJONG

MAJONG is a hybrid of spring rape of Swedish selection, developed by LANTMANNEN SW SEED AB and introduced to the Russian market by «World Wide Seeds». It belongs to the group of early-maturing hybrids 00 type, with a vegetation period of about 90-92 days. The plants are of medium height – about 114 cm, with dark green leaves of medium length and width, as well as a medium number of serrated lobes. Pods have medium beak and petiole length, which facilitates harvest collection.

The MAJONG hybrid is distinguished by high yield and quality seed parameters. The average yield in the Central and Central Black Earth regions reaches 19.8 c/ha, which is 21.8% higher than standard indicators. At the same time, the oil content in seeds is 48.9%, and fat content is 46.7%, which ensures high oil collection – up to 8.9 c/ha. The mass of 1000 seeds is 4.7 grams, which indicates good quality of seed material.

In addition, the hybrid shows high resistance to adverse weather conditions, lodging, pod cracking and seed shedding. In trials in central regions of Russia, MAJONG showed record yield results, reaching up to 38 c/ha, which makes it an attractive choice for agrarians seeking stable and high rape harvest.
