Description
SY Saveo — highly productive winter rapeseed hybrid of the third generation Safecross™ from Syngenta, recommended for cultivation in the Central and Western regions of Ukraine. This hybrid is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, ensuring reliable crops under moderate climate conditions. Plants have medium height — from 150 to 165 cm depending on moisture availability, with vigorous yet balanced growth both in autumn and spring.
The hybrid belongs to the medium-early maturity group with early flowering, allowing efficient use of the vegetative period. SY Saveo has one of the highest oil content rates among Syngenta hybrids — around 46%, which contributes to maximum oil yield at high productivity levels, reaching 43–58 c/ha. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates enhanced resistance to pod cracking and various diseases, reducing yield losses and improving product quality.
For optimal results, intensive cultivation technologies are recommended with a sowing rate of 450,000 to 600,000 seeds per hectare, depending on planting dates and moisture conditions. SY Saveo is best suited for regions with sufficient moisture levels, ensuring stable plant development and high productivity. This hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality rapeseed yields.
