PRZEHYBA

Mallow of the Przehyba (Przehyba) variety is a popular Polish early-ripening selection, suitable for both open ground and greenhouse cultivation. Harvesting begins in the third decade of July, with early harvests possible as early as late June in southern Ukraine under open ground, and 15-20 days earlier in greenhouses. Bushes are vigorous, reaching heights of 1.7 to 2.0 meters, and can grow up to 2.3 meters in greenhouses. Canes are strong, with curved tips and a small number of purple thorns, and leaves are large, corrugated, oval-shaped with long, pointed tips.

Przehyba is characterized by high yield and good cold resistance, making it suitable for commercial cultivation. Bushes bear fruit on last year's canes, with berries ripening several days earlier than the Lychka variety and one week earlier than the Sokolitsa variety. The root system is strong and well-developed, with sufficient root suckers. Lateral branches are numerous, strong, and elastic, with sparse thorns, reaching lengths of 40-70 cm and having up to four orders of branching.

Przehyba berries are large, elongated-conical, up to 5 cm in length, shiny, and colored light-red with a characteristic gloss. The fruit flavor is dessert-like, sweet, and pleasant, making them popular for both fresh consumption and processing. With proper agronomy, one bush can yield 5 to 6 kilograms of delicious berries per season. Flowering begins in May, with large white flowers arranged in dense clusters, promoting abundant and uniform fruiting.
