ZORENYA ALTAI

The Raspberry variety Zorynya Altai is a hardy, large-fruited variety developed at the M.A. Lisavenko Research Institute of Vegetable Growing. This variety is characterized by robust canes reaching heights of up to 1.8-2 meters, which have a medium spreading nature and few thorns. The bushes are medium-spreading, with canes of medium thickness covered with a waxy bloom by the time the berries mature. The variety has a medium ability to form new canes and is not prone to aggressive spreading, which facilitates its cultivation and care.

The berries of Zorynya Altai are large, obtuse-conical in shape, weighing from 2.3 to 4.5 grams, and are a rich red color with a firm drupe attachment. The fruit taste is tart-sweet, pleasant, and dessert-like, making them attractive to consumers. Fruiting occurs in mid-to-late July, which corresponds to the average maturity period. The yield of the variety varies within the range of 5.8-7.0 tons per hectare, which is a good indicator for this type of raspberry.

Zorynya Altai is characterized by high frost hardiness and winter hardiness, which allows for successful cultivation in regions with harsh winters, including the Central, West Siberian, and East Siberian regions. The variety is resistant to purple spot disease (didymella) at a level of up to 2 points, which reduces the risk of disease and improves crop quality. For cultivation, it is recommended to choose sunny locations with fertile soils, and plantings can be either single or grouped.
