Description
Amber Mistral Long-Grain Parboiled Rice is a parboiled long-grain rice ideal for cooking pilaf and other diverse dishes. Thanks to the parboiling process, the grains retain their shape and color, do not stick together during cooking, ensuring a fluffy texture of the finished dish. This rice requires no pre-processing, making it convenient and practical to use.
The parboiling technology used in producing Amber rice allows to preserve up to 80% of vitamins and minerals contained in the bran layer of the grain. During processing, the rice is soaked in water, then treated with hot steam under pressure, dried, and polished on modern equipment. As a result, the grains acquire a characteristic amber-yellow hue, which disappears during cooking, and the rice becomes snowy white.
Cooking time for this rice is approximately 20-25 minutes, as parboiled grains become harder and take longer to cook compared to regular white rice. After cooking, the rice remains fluffy and flavorful, even when reheated multiple times. This makes it a versatile product suitable for various culinary tasks, including pilaf, paella, risotto, salads, and soups.
