HANKAISKY 52

Hankaisky 52 is an early-ripening variety of rice (Oryza sativa L.) with long grains, belonging to the indica subvariety and mutica variety. It is characterized by a robust stem 2-3 mm in thickness, short greenish stem nodes, and light green sickle-shaped awns. The panicle of this variety is dense, yellow in color, 18-20 cm in length, with 10-12 spikelets, weakly drooping, and awnless. The grain is highly translucent, resistant to cracking, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 28-31 g. The variety is distinguished by high cold hardiness, germination energy, and field germination, as well as resistance to lodging and shattering.

Hankaisky 52 is recommended for cultivation in the Far Eastern region, particularly in Primorsky Krai, where the average yield reaches 42 centners per hectare, and the maximum is 48.6 centners per hectare. The vegetative period is 86-91 days, which allows for an early harvest. Technological and culinary qualities of the variety are high, making it in demand for various culinary purposes. The glabrousness of the penultimate leaf lamina of this variety is very weak, which is an additional morphological feature of the plant.

The Hankaisky 52 variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, particularly pyriculariosis, with a minimal level of infection, which significantly surpasses the indicators of other varieties, such as Dvinsk. During the testing period on state variety plots, cases of disease infection were not recorded, which indicates the reliability and stability of the variety under growing conditions. This rice is an important agricultural crop that combines high productivity, grain quality, and adaptation to the regional climatic conditions.
