RAPAN 2

The RAPAN 2 rice variety is a medium-maturing Oryza sativa L. with semi-rounded grains and a 1000-grain weight ranging from 26 to 30 grams. This variety is distinguished by its high resistance to shattering and lodging, ensuring crop stability and grain quality. The vegetative period is 112-116 days, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the South-Foothills zone of the Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Kalmykia. RAPAN 2 belongs to the itálica type and possesses excellent technological and culinary characteristics. The variety is included in the State Register for the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions, where it demonstrates high yields—up to 88.1 c/ha in Krasnodar Krai and 77.9 c/ha in the North Caucasus region. RAPAN 2 is resistant to rice leaf nematode and has moderate resistance to pyricularia, enhancing its reliability during cultivation. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is popular among agricultural producers focused on obtaining high and stable yields. Culinary, RAPAN 2 rice is recommended for preparing diverse dishes, including pilaf, loose side dishes, salads, vegetable stews, soups, as well as stuffed poultry, fish, and squid. Its grains retain shape and texture after thermal processing, making it a versatile product for home and professional use. Rice is delivered in 25 kg and 50 kg bags, which is convenient for bulk purchases and storage.
