Description
Rosa Alen is a popular floribunda variety with bright carmine-red flowers of medium size, about 6-7 cm in diameter. The flowers are double, consisting of 23-29 petals, opening with a visible bright yellow center, creating a beautiful contrast. The flowering is abundant and prolonged, with flowers appearing in loose clusters containing 3 to 15 buds. A mild fragrance adds additional appeal to this variety.
Rosa Alen bushes are vigorous, reaching heights of 70-80 cm, with upright, dense, and symmetrical forms. The dark green, leathery, and semi-glossy foliage enhances the plant's decorative appeal. This rose is cold-hardy, but requires winter protection and is moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. With proper care and disease protection, it demonstrates high resistance to sun and drought.
This variety is ideal for group plantings in gardens and parks, thanks to its abundant and continuous flowering from April to October. Rosa Alen was awarded a gold medal in Geneva in 1948 and named in honor of Alan Meyan, head of the Meyan House. Seedlings are typically supplied with an open root system and height of about 40 cm, facilitating planting and adaptation.
