Baccara

Baccara Rose, also known as Black Bacara, is a unique tea-hybrid variety with nearly black blooms that are impossible to confuse with other roses. The flowers have a deep burgundy hue, ranging from rich red wine color to nearly black, with velvety, densely double petals numbering approximately 45-55. The flower diameter is about 9-10 centimeters, and the flower shape is cup-like with pointed petal tips. The fragrance is delicate and barely perceptible, which is typical for many tea-hybrid varieties.

Baccara rose bushes are compact and upright, reaching heights of 80 to 100 centimeters and widths of about 70 centimeters. The leaves are shiny, green with a slight reddish tint, and the stems have minimal thorns, making care and flower harvesting easier. The rose is drought-tolerant but requires regular watering to maintain health and decorative appeal. The best planting location is partial shade, where the velvety-black tones of the blooms are especially prominent.

The variety has moderate cold tolerance, capable of enduring temperatures down to -23 degrees, though in harsh winter regions, covering is recommended. Baccara rose exhibits moderate resistance to powdery mildew and black spot, requiring attentive care and preventive measures. Due to its beauty and unusual color, this variety is widely used in garden design and floristry for cut flowers, where it creates striking and elegant arrangements.
