DE RUITER 2699 A

DE RUITER 2699 A is a shrub rose of medium height, recommended for cultivation in protected ground and use for cut flowers. Young canes are colored in shades from bronze to red with pronounced anthocyanin coloring, while the thorns have a green color and a strongly recurved shape. Leaves are of medium size, dark green, elliptical in shape with a rounded base and an acute apex. Flowers are gathered in racemes of 6-10 pieces, have an irregularly round shape and a diameter of 5-6 cm. Petals are very narrow, oblong-obovate in shape with minimal notch and slight margin waviness. The main color of the inner side of the flower is pink, and there is no aroma or it is very weak.

Flowering of the variety is moderate and remontant, which allows obtaining cut flowers several times a season. The rose has good resistance to diseases and pests, but heat resistance is average and drought resistance is weak. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Russia, including Northern, Central, Ural and Far Eastern regions.

This variety was developed and registered by the Dutch company DE RUITER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY B.V. and recommended for use in ornamental gardening and commercial floriculture. DE RUITER 2699 A differs in an attractive appearance and is suitable for creating cut bouquets, thanks to the compact size of the flowers and their delicate coloring.
