When planning a rose garden geared towards cut flowers, you look for a balance between bud beauty and bush hardiness. "Russkaya Krasavitsa" from the breeders at Semko-Junior is a classic hybrid tea rose that behaves predictably in the garden and delights the eye throughout the entire season.

Growing Experience

The bush grows to a compact 60–80 cm in height, which prevents the flowerbed from becoming overcrowded and makes it easy to work with the plant during pruning or maintenance. A bush width of 50–70 cm is optimal: the crown remains well-ventilated, which is crucial for preventing fungal diseases.

As for blooming, "Russkaya Krasavitsa" lives up to its name. The buds, 7–10 cm in diameter, have a double-flower form. The rich pink-red color combined with a strong fragrance makes this variety an ideal choice for bouquets. The blooming period lasts all summer, requiring the owner to apply regular fertilizers to maintain the plant's vitality.

Protection and Care

One of the main advantages is its disease resistance. During my experience with this variety, I noted that it stands up well against mycospherella leaf spot, brown spot, and powdery mildew. This significantly reduces spending on fungicides. However, the frost resistance is moderate (down to -25°C), so winter covering is mandatory in colder climates. Otherwise, it is an undemanding variety that, with proper watering and moderate pruning, will provide dense, fragrant flowers for many years to come.
