RUSSIAN 1

Rosa 'Russian-1' is a shrub up to 1.5–2 m tall, distinguished by high disease resistance and good hardiness. The bushes have soft, thin thorns located on the lower part of the branches, and the leaves range from green to light green with hairs underneath. The flowers are large and pink, while the fruits are elongated, spindle-shaped, and very large, ensuring high yield (up to 1 kg/tree). The fruits ripen in August, with vitamin C content slightly exceeding that of the analogous variety, though it lags behind in vitamin P content.

For growing 'Russian-1', seedlings with a closed root system are used, obtained from highly healthy initial material using in-vitro technology. This approach ensures the absence of pathogens and harmful organisms, and allows plants to be planted at any time during the vegetation period. Seedlings are suitable for planting in March, April, May, September, or October; the distance between plants is 1.5–2 m.

The variety is well adapted to sunny areas and suitable for growing in various climatic conditions, including the Moscow Region. Fruiting begins in the second year after planting, and the flowering period falls in June. Due to high yield and hardiness, 'Russian-1' is a preferred choice for both commercial production and personal gardens.
