Description
Rosa species 'Sergey Mironov' is a medium-sized shrub with medium-length upright canes covered with perpendicularly arranged thorns. Leaves are large, green, leathery, and shiny with a slightly wrinkled surface; leaf teeth are sharp. Inflorescences are multi-flowered, flowers are large and pink.
The berries of this variety are large, oval-shaped, slightly flattened, red in color with medium-density skin. The average weight of one berry is 12 grams, and the vitamin C content reaches 1500%. Thanks to high resistance to diseases and pests, the variety does not require frequent chemical treatment.
The variety is intended for industrial cultivation and processing: its yield is about 26.4 centners per hectare, and the berries are suitable for both drying and making various preparations. The plant height reaches approximately 1.5 meters; the optimal distance between bushes is 1.5–2 meters, and the planting depth is 30 cm. Fruiting begins in August after flowering in June.
'Sergey Mironov' is characterized by good frost resistance and a medium ripening period, which makes it convenient for a wide range of climatic conditions. Thanks to the high survival rate of seedlings (99.99%), the plant roots quickly and ensures a stable yield.
