Laskave

Laskave is a short-stemmed winter rye variety distinguished by high yield and adaptability to various growing conditions. It features a medium-early maturity period with a vegetative cycle of about 270 days and plant height up to 135 cm. The ear is dense, up to 12 cm long, containing 64-70 grains, with an average 1000-grain weight of 45-55 g. Grain density reaches 650-720 g/l, and protein content varies from 11.6 to 12%, ensuring excellent baking qualities and good animal feed performance. The Laskave variety exhibits high drought resistance due to its well-developed primary root system, enabling successful cultivation on various soil types and climatic conditions across Ukraine. It demonstrates high lodging resistance and genetic resistance to a complex of fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, rhiñhosporiosis, and fusarium. The winter hardiness of the variety is rated at 9 points, allowing it to withstand temperatures below -22°C without snow cover. The potential yield of the Laskave variety reaches 8.5-9.5 tons of grain per hectare, with green mass yield potentially exceeding 40 tons per hectare. Due to its adaptability to cultivation technology and tolerance to sowing timing, this variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality rye harvest.
