• Tillering capacity: The core technical component of the variety. The genetically inherent ability to actively form productive stems allows for reduced seeding rates without sacrificing stand density. This is critical for achieving a uniform crop stand.
• Stress resistance: The breeding program for 'Pallada' considered the specific characteristics of Ukrainian chernozem and sod-podzolic soils. The variety features an adaptation mechanism for low temperatures during overwintering and increased resistance to major fungal pathogens, which reduces the need for intensive fungicide application in the early stages.
