AF 7102 is an early-maturing BMR6 silage sorghum hybrid developed for use as a forage crop. Thanks to the BMR6 technology, lignin content in the plant decreases by 40-60%, significantly increasing forage value due to an improved fiber and starch balance. Protein content in AF 7102 silage sorghum ranges from 10 to 12%, while energy levels are comparable to corn, making it an excellent source of protein and energy for cattle.

The hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance, hardiness, and adaptability to various climatic conditions, allowing successful cultivation in different regions. AF 7102 features strong leaf development, lodging resistance, and suitability for no-till farming systems. Recommended seeding rates vary depending on soil moisture levels: from 80,000 to 100,000 seeds per hectare in arid conditions to 150,000–160,000 with sufficient moisture.
