ES VILLI

ES VILLI is a mid-early hybrid of grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) intended for grain production. It is characterized by round orange-red grains with a 1000-grain weight of approximately 26-29 grams and high yield, which can reach over 70 c/ha under optimal conditions. The plant is dwarf with a loose-panicled inflorescence about 26 cm long, ensuring ease in agronomy and harvest collection.

The hybrid is distinguished by high plasticity and adapted to various cultivation conditions, including arid regions and zones with sufficient moisture. ES VILLI exhibits a «stay-green» effect, ensuring remanence and resistance to apical sterility, as well as good tolerance to return frosts, allowing for replanting after winter cereal crops. The grain texture is predominantly glassy (75%), with high starch content (about 78%) and protein (over 10-11%), while tannin content is very low, improving grain quality for various purposes.

The agronomic profile of the hybrid includes good initial growth rates, resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as tolerance to fusarium and stem charcoal rot. ES VILLI is suitable for use in fodder production, the food industry, and bioenergy. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on growing conditions: from 140-180 thousand seeds per hectare in arid areas to 270 thousand seeds with irrigation, which allows optimizing yield and product quality.
