Odk79V is the product of the breeding work of the Odesa Plant Breeding and Genetic Institute, focused on achieving a balance between the energy value of green mass and the maturation speed. The compact habitus of the plant (90–100 cm tall) is a key engineering solution for mechanized harvesting: a low center of gravity and uniform crop stand minimize losses during header operations.

Agronomic Parameters and Metabolism

The vegetation period of 90–100 days classifies this hybrid as mid-early, allowing it to "escape" peak summer droughts in the southern regions of Ukraine. The plant's internal morphology ensures a high rate of biomass accumulation, which is critical for silage production. The technological flexibility of this variety is demonstrated by its suitability for both hay and high-quality silage.

• Grain Component: The dark brown color of the grain indicates the presence of specific pigments, which indirectly points to resistance against a range of pathogens and high endosperm density.
