Description
RGT BELUGGA sorghum is an ultra-early maturing, high-starch variety, intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones, as well as in the Polissya region. The vegetation period ranges from 95 to 130 days, enabling early harvest. Plants reach a height of 110-125 cm, and the grain has a red color with a high starch content — from 76.6% to 77.4% — making this variety especially valuable for grain production.
One of the key features of this variety is its high resistance to Fusarium, wilt, and other stress factors, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Tannin content in the grain is less than 0.1%, positively affecting product quality. Recommended seeding rates vary by region: 180-200 thousand plants per hectare for forest-steppe, 130-160 thousand for steppe, and up to 220 thousand per hectare for Polissya.
The yield potential of the RGT BELUGGA variety reaches 11 tons per hectare under proper agronomic practices and fertilization. Due to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, this variety is suitable for a wide range of farms and regions, ensuring high productivity and grain quality.
