Sorghum variety «Samba» is an early-maturing, high-yield hybrid developed by Russian breeders of the company «Agroplazma». The vegetative period lasts from 92 to 102 days, allowing for a stable harvest in a short time. The plants are low-growing, about 120 cm tall, single-stemmed, and well-aligned in height of the inflorescences, which feature a spreading and upright form. The grain is white, naked, elliptical in shape, with a mass of about 25.4 g per 1000 grains. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, drought, diseases and pests, including cereal aphids, ensuring harvest stability even under unfavorable conditions. The inflorescence is less susceptible to damage by caterpillars, further improving the quality and quantity of harvested grain. Protein content in the grain reaches 10.4%, and starch reaches up to 64.1%, making it attractive for various applications. «Samba» is characterized by a high alcohol yield from the grain, making it in demand for industrial production.
