SLAVIANSKOE UNIVERSALNOE is a grain sorghum hybrid characterized by early maturity and high yield. The plant is tall with dark green leaves and a symmetrical, upright panicle of medium density and a very long neck. The grain is narrowly elliptical, orange in color, with a semi-glassy endosperm; the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 22.1 to 28.1 grams. The average yield in the growing region reaches 33.5 centners per hectare, exceeding the standard average by 4.5 centners. The variety has medium resistance to lodging and drought resistance at standard levels, as well as a medium degree of bacterial spot damage under field conditions.

In addition to the grain direction, the variety is also used as broom sorghum. In this case, the plants are short and weakly bushy, with a loose, cylindrical panicle 47-51 cm long, colored from dark brown to burgundy. The grain is large, round-oval, brown, and membranous, and does not shatter. The yield of brooms per hectare is 3,500 to 4,000 pieces, making the variety in demand for various agricultural needs.
