A reliable ultra-early maturing choice for intensive farming

Developed by experts at the National Research Center «Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS», the «Arnika» soybean variety has firmly established itself in the segment of ultra-early Ukrainian-bred varieties. It is a preferred choice for farmers who prioritize early field clearing and a stable output of commercial grain, even under unpredictable climate conditions.

Biological potential and field characteristics

The key advantage of "Arnika" lies in its short vegetation period, which does not exceed 90 days. This allows the crop to avoid peak summer droughts and effectively utilize moisture during the early spring period. The plant's morphology is optimized for modern mechanized harvesting:

• Stem height varies between 70–80 cm, ensuring compactness alongside high yield potential.
• The lowest pod is attached at a height of 10–12 cm, minimizing losses during combine harvesting.

The variety demonstrates high adaptability to stress factors. Genetically inherent resistance to a complex of the most dangerous pathogens — downy mildew (peronosporosis), fusarium wilt, and bacteriosis — allows for a significant reduction in pesticide use during the growing season, which is a crucial factor for the farm's economic efficiency.

Grain quality indicators

"Arnika" meets the stringent requirements of processing companies regarding raw material quality. The protein content in the seeds reaches 39–41%, while the oil content remains consistently at 20–21%. These figures make the variety highly sought after both in the domestic market for the production of high-protein feed and as an export commodity. Thanks to its balanced composition, the grain maintains its commercial appearance and excellent physical and chemical properties during storage.

Integrating "Arnika" into crop rotation is ideal for farms practicing double cropping or those in need of a high-quality predecessor that ensures timely soil preparation for winter crops.
