Predictable yields in a short timeframe

When working with soybeans, the biggest concern is always harvesting before the autumn rains or unexpected frosts. The "Bojana" variety from the Serbian IFVCNS (Novi Sad) breeding center solves this with a 90–100 day growth cycle. It is an ultra-early variety that I choose when I need to keep my crop rotation on track and clear the fields in time for winter sowing.

Field observations and crop protection

The plant height of 70–80 cm is, in my opinion, the "sweet spot." The combine operates smoothly without needing to set the header too high, which keeps harvest losses at the lower node to a minimum. Regarding phytosanitary conditions, the Serbian breeding holds up well. Its resistance to root rot and fusarium allows me to save on extra fungicide applications, provided the infection pressure is moderate.

• Root system: Strong and well-developed, keeping the plant stable even in high winds.
• Immunity: Notable resistance to powdery mildew and rust. Even in wet seasons, when other fields struggle with leaf spots, this variety stays healthy.
• Harvesting: Uniform ripening prevents "green" spots in the field, making it much easier to calibrate the threshing settings on the combine.

If you need a reliable "workhorse" for intensive farming, Bojana offers a predictable outcome. I know for sure that 95 days is my limit, and the harvest will be safely in the warehouse before the weather turns. The variety is low-maintenance: standard agricultural practices without complex protection schemes consistently deliver a solid yield.
